A one-day seminar for East Riding design and planning teams, developers and architects, followed by a public talk by a well-known pundit on design.

arc is pleased to bring together a panel of nationally renowned experts to facilitate a day to focus on housing in the region, and to work with local decision makers, designers and developers to identify what contributes to creating high-quality, sustainable places to live for 21st century East Riding.
An audience with Janet Street Porter to conclude the Design Partnership programme

We invite you to join Janet Street Porter to discuss how to ‘think outside the box’ in designing East Riding future spaces and places. This is a free event for East Riding residents, but tickets must be booked. For more information please contact arc.
June/July 2008: Mapping NaSA
Artists Chris Dobrowolski, Jennie Savage & Theresa Smith have responded to the 'psycho-geography' of the West Hull district to create a collection of distinctive and reflective contemporary artworks that reveal small ‘stories’ of the streets around Anlaby Road, Hessle Road and Boulevard.
The artworks are the latest in a programme of creative community development projects being delivered by arc for the Gateway Housing Pathfinder team and local residents.
The artworks incorporate sound recordings, shop fronts and beermats, and will be on display from 21st June - 11th July. Please contact arc for location information and further details, on (01482) 327675.

Four free public debates. March 2008 across Hull. Giving you the opportunity to inform, debate, and better understand the issues that underly the transformation of our city.
Speakers from the world of architecture and regeneration will present and expand on the debate theme followed by a debate with the audience and a chance to have your say.

March 2008: Building in Context Toolkit

arc is delivering a training seminar, developed by CABE and English Heritage, to develop skills and knowledge in Local Authority teams to deliver and evaluate quality contemporary design in historic contexts. The day has been developed with the support of architect David Crease.
